2020-2022 ASDAR State Regent

Gretchen Alece Magee

The Arkansas State Regent is the highest officer in the Arkansas Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She is called “regent” because she governs vicariously for the one presiding president – the President General. The State Regent presides at all meetings of the State Executive Board, State Board of Management, and State Conference.

The State Regent appoints all state chairs, state vice-chairs, and state committee members. These state committee chairs work with their chapter chair counterparts to promote the work of the State and National Society.

The State Regent has a message in each issue of the Arkansas State Newsletter and on the Arkansas Members’ Website.

Magee Administration Theme:

The theme for this administration is “We Rise by Lifting Others.”

The symbol represents the Arkansas Daughters working together in support of historic preservation, education, and patriotism.

During this administration, we will be highlighting the projects of chapters that are undertaking in their communities. These highlights will be shared with the public on the ASDAR Website and with the members through the Arkansas Newsletter and the Arkansas Members’ Facebook Group.

Magee Administration Scripture:

“Psalm 139:14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
