Our nation will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2026.

In 2016, Congress established the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission to plan and oversee the nationwide commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. Branded as “America 250,” the initiative aims to inspire all Americans to participate in this historic milestone.

The Commission offers several ways for individuals and communities to get involved:

Did you know that the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) was one of the first heritage societies to formally partner with America 250?

The NSDAR is preparing to celebrate the momentous anniversary of our country. Our National Society has established the America 250! Committee, which has begun planning at the national, state, and chapter levels. They are working hard to “leave a lasting impact on their communities” with public events and projects.
