Welcome to the Captain Nathan Watkins Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, chartered in Mountain Home, Arkansas!
The Captain Nathan Watkins Chapter of NSDAR was organized in Mountain Home, Arkansas, on April 17, 1965. Our members unanimously voted to name their newly formed chapter after Nathan Watkins, the ancestor of Mrs. Edward Lynn Westbrooke, Arkansas state organizing representative, who was instrumental in the formation of the chapter.
Nathan Watkins fought in the War of the Revolution from 1775-1782. He served as Captain of Company D, 26th Regiment, under General Gates and as Captain of Minute Men at Bunker Hill. He later joined the expedition to Quebec, and also fought at Princeton, Trenton, and Bemis Ridge.
Captain Nathan Watkins Chapter meets the second Monday of each month September through May. Our meetings begin at 10 a.m. for fellowship; at 10:30 a.m. the program is given, followed by our formal meeting at 11:00 a.m. Refreshments are provided. Please contact us for location.
