Welcome to the Provincia De La Sal Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, organized November 17, 1953 in Benton, Arkansas.

The chapter was named for the life-saving Saline River that Hernando DeSoto and his men discovered when they had run out of salt in this area. DeSoto called the river “la Provincia de La Salle”; the Province of Salt.

Several chapter members have served as State and District Officers. The DeSoto Trail Society, C.A.R., is sponsored by the chapter.

The chapter meets NSDAR objectives with an emphasis on preserving history, genealogy, acknowledging veterans, promoting youth, community/volunteer service, donating numerous U.S. flags, and conservation.

The Provincia de La Sal Chapter meets the third Monday of the month.
